I've had some fun in Second Life and have attended some library events there. I kind of like it as a free online "chat room" where you have a sense of face-to-face interaction. (I haven't otherwise used chat rooms except in distance learning) Mostly I visit SL for fun, not very often - usually with my mom who is not a computer person but whose SL avatar is a cat.

Thanks for your book review in the last post - I'll keep an eye out for that title.

Teresa, we offer online trainings and onsite trainings at libraries or at MLA (conference, retreats, and other meetings) about using web 2.0 in your work and in libraries. Announcements about trainings are made on the Montana State Library website & calendar and on wired. We also can provide training to small groups on request and are always open to suggestions for new training topics. Keep an eye out for training events that interest you and let me know if you would like to arrange a session sometime.

Thanks so much for your participation in the Challenge!

I love delicious too. For me, one of its most useful aspects is the ability to attach multiple tags for easy organizing by category - since most items fall into multiple categories.

I also used delicious to organize resources for a presentation at MLA last spring. It was very handy to start the presentation from my delicious tag!

I don't think it's off topic at all. It could be a very useful tool for libraries. I haven't watched the Metadata one yet, but I will. Here's my favorite (okay, the only one I actually looked at, but I like it): http://www.slideshare.net/thecroaker/death-by-powerpoint/.
